Earth - Technology - Human. Inspired Collaborations.
ethic is an independent initiative at the intersection of ecological intelligence, technology ethics, and the sovereignty of the living world — built to answer the nested crises of the 21st century.
Who We Are
ethic is founded on earth-rights, human-rights, and biocentric frameworks — grounded in a profound love for the living world and an unshakeable belief in utu, the Swahili understanding of the goodness of humanity.
We work to protect the intrinsic value of the organic and biological world, and the sovereignty of the individual human mind. We resist the unlawful commodification of life and the control of consciousness through algorithmic manipulation.
"We believe in the sacredness of the real, the organic, and the free human spirit."
ethic lives in the Philippines but operates in the Global South — built on mutual aid, cooperation, and the conviction that the people most affected by these crises must be co-architects of their solutions.
The Ultimate Dream
The Convergent Crises
ethic was created to answer the nested crises of the 21st century — crises that cannot be solved through linear thinking or siloed institutions.
Our economic and technological activities are out of sync with Earth's regenerative intelligence. We treat the planet as an infinite resource — producing climate collapse, mass extinction, and our own species' health crises.
Technology promised connection but has been weaponised to fragment attention, manipulate biology, and erode our capacity for respectful discourse and moral clarity.
The commodification of the commons and the exponential rise of unregulated AI have produced an unprecedented concentration of power, extracted from many, wielded by few.
How We're Structured
ethic operates through two inseparable arms — research and policy, and grassroots community work. Neither can function fully without the other. This is a principled position about how change actually happens.
AI ethics frameworks, technology risk assessment, and policy engagement from local to global — producing white papers and open-access publications that put rigorous analysis in service of the commons.
The people with the most at stake in seed sovereignty and ecological health are smallholder farmers — and they are among the least heard. ethic's community work is not charity. It is a knowledge exchange.

Pathways Forward
Systems Thinking
Addressing global crises requires participatory, democratized systems thinking — finding leverage points that move the dial further and farther. Nature's genius lies in this. We are nature.
Interdisciplinary
Ecologists, engineers, artists, policy experts, Indigenous knowledge holders, and futurists — not as token diversity, but as structural necessity.
Mutual Aid
In the Philippines and across the Global South, mutual aid is not ideology — it is survival. ethic is founded on cooperation as a more durable driver than competition alone.
Foresight
We build the capacity to map intended and unintended consequences before, not after, they arrive. Anticipatory thinking is one of the most underused human capacities.
Iteration
A one-degree shift, sustained over time, can change everything. We build in the structures to check, adjust, and remain honest about what is working.
"We fight against the commodification of life and the control of consciousness —
because we believe in the sacredness of the real, the organic,
and the free human spirit."
